At Upgraph, our office wouldn’t be the same without our beloved office pet, Uppercat. She’s been a part of the Upgraph family for a while now, and every year, she brings joy, laughter, and plenty of fun moments to our workspace. As we wrap up 2024, we wanted to look back on some of Uppercat’s most memorable moments of the year!
1. Uppercat’s First Day at the New Office
2024 marked a new chapter for us with an office renovation, and naturally, Uppercat was right there with us! On the first day in our newly renovated office, she explored every corner, and we couldn’t help but laugh as she claimed her new favorite napping spot right by the windows.
Why It’s Special: Watching Uppercat adjust to the new space was a moment of pure joy. It reminded us that even the smallest additions to the office—like a curious cat—can make a big difference in how we feel about our workspace.
2. The Day She Became “Team Mascot”
Uppercat had quite the fan club in 2024. One of the funniest moments was when she officially became our “team mascot” after a few of her playful antics. Whether it was chasing her toy mouse or curiously tapping our laptops, Uppercat’s presence brought a fun and lighthearted atmosphere to the office.
Why It’s Special: Uppercat became a symbol of the spirit we have here at Upgraph—fun, friendly, and always ready to engage! It’s hard to have a bad day when she’s around.
3. Uppercat’s “Zoom Call Interruptions”
Like many offices, we’ve had our share of virtual meetings, and Uppercat has never been shy about making her presence known during a Zoom call. Whether she’s jumping onto a colleague’s lap or giving her signature meow right as someone is speaking, her antics have made many virtual calls much more entertaining.
Why It’s Special: Uppercat’s Zoom interruptions have been a reminder that it’s okay to laugh at the little things, even when we’re busy working. It’s the perfect reminder of why balance is so important in the workplace.
4. The “Nap Champion” Title
Uppercat is known for her ability to nap anywhere—on the couch, under a desk, or even in a pile of office papers. 2024 saw her claim the unofficial title of “Nap Champion” in the office, with her favorite spot being a cozy corner by the windows, where she could catch some rays while resting.
Why It’s Special: Uppercat’s naps have become a symbol of taking a moment to pause and recharge. It’s a reminder to all of us that taking breaks throughout the day is essential for maintaining creativity and productivity.
5. Uppercat’s Birthday Celebration
In 2024, we decided to celebrate Uppercat’s birthday with a small office party complete with treats and her favorite toys. Watching her play with a new scratching post and enjoying the attention from the team made the celebration extra special.
Why It’s Special: Celebrating Uppercat’s birthday was a fun way to bond as a team. It gave us an opportunity to take a break from work, have some laughs, and show our appreciation for our furry friend.
